We make art in everyday and unexpected places with, for and about the people and stories found there!

Jumblies has three offshoot projects in Toronto: Arts4All (interim artistic director Tijana Spasic), MABELLEarts (artistic director Leah Houston) and Community Arts Guild (artistic director Beth Helmers). Jesse Wabegijig’s ❤️‍🩹puppet repair clinic❤️‍🩹 residency is coming to a close this weekend with a celebration, including a short performance piece compiled from playful puppet explorations that occurred over the course of the residency! As we move into our 26th season, Jumblies staff and board are searching for a new General Manager, someone who will assume the crucial role that financial and administrative leadership plays in supporting and upholding our shorter and longer-term existence.
The GM reports to and works alongside the Artistic Director to manage and develop the company’s finances and resources (public, private, earned, in-kind), while overseeing all aspects of the company’s operations. The position is both inward and outward-facing: focusing on internal company workings while engaging with our various networks, communities, partners and supporters.

Every Thursday, 6-8pm, at The Ground Floor Studio until Aug. 6th, with a culminating day on Saturday Aug. 8th from 1-5pm.

We’ve added 2 more drop-in times for our Khaat weaving workshops!

We will be weaving our life-sized communal khaat (a woven bed-style piece of furniture that has been used for over 5000 years in the Indian subcontinent) and you will have the option to make your own miniature khaat!
Free to attend, all ages welcome!
This series is informal, at-your-own-pace, and drop-in style, so you can come for 15 minutes to say hi or settle in for the full drop-in time! And there will be other artmaking activities available if weaving is not your cup of tea!

Learn the simple art of weaving a Khaat! A Khaat is a woven piece of furniture that has been used for over 5000 years in the Indian subcontinent. The interlaced tana (warp) and bana (weft) makes for a flexible structure that offers comfort for both sitting and reclining.
Join us to learn the basics of weaving on our life-sized communal khaat and to learn how to make your own miniature khaat!
