📸 A wonderful evening celebrating Italian contemporary art!

Last night, as part of Giornata del Contemporaneo – Italian Contemporary Art Day, the Istituto Italiano di Cultura Toronto hosted the presentation of "Noi nel mondo. Indagine sulla percezione estera dell’arte contemporanea italiana", the latest book by Christian Caliandro, published by Marsilio Arte.

The conversation featured Andrea Lombardinilo, President of La Quadriennale di Roma; Christian Caliandro, author; and Patrizia Libralato, Founder and Executive Director of the Toronto Biennial of Art, moderated by Prof. Paolo Granata of the University of Toronto.

A stimulating conversation on the international perception of contemporary Italian art and its role in today’s cultural landscape.

Thank you to everyone who joined us! 🇮🇹🎨

On September 18, we had the pleasure of welcoming Class 5°C from Liceo Classico “Stellini” in Udine to the Istituto Italiano di Cultura of Toronto.
During their visit, the students met with our Director, Alberta Lai, and Laura Innocenti, School Director at the Consulate General of Italy in Toronto, who introduced them to the role of the Italian Cultural Institutes in promoting Italian language and culture abroad.
The students were in Canada as part of the project “Toronto: A Laboratory of Multiculturalism and Innovation,” carried out with the support of Fondazione Friuli.
It was a pleasure to welcome them to the Institute and share a glimpse into Italy’s cultural diplomacy in Canada! 🇮🇹🇨🇦
