Our logo spells out MOTEK, the Hebrew word for "sweetheart", which is a term of endearment used as popular slang to compliment and create positive vibes. MOTEK has creatively shifted various Hebrew characters to resemble English lettering, striving to personify the very essence of our organization and our aim of showcasing Israel in a new and innovative light. Choosing music as our change agent, w

e aspire to bridge cultural divides and create a unique platform for Israel-related dialogue. Just as the letters have been redirected, by using music and culture, so too shall public perceptions about Israel.

MOTEK's 4th Annual Gala featuring the soul of Israel, SHLOMI SHABAT!

MOTEK Cultural Initiative and co-chairs Alan Greenberg and Cary Green would like to thank everyone who attended our 4th Annual Gala, featuring the SOUL of Israeli sound, SHLOMI SHABAT, on May 7th at THE QET.

Shlomi Shabat brought the house to their feet in an electrifying performance enjoyed by music lovers of all ages, including world music enthusiasts, philanthropists, dignitaries and members of parliament.

We own a big TODA to our volunteers that made this night possible! They are the heart beyond MOTEK and we were privileged to have each and every one of them represent us.

The overwhelming positive feedback once again, was proof positive that music is a tool for change, capable of transcending the barriers of borders, language and background.

The overwhelming positive feedback we have been receiving since Thursday night, once again, proves us that music is a tool for change, capable of transcending the barriers of borders, language and background.

We would like to share one of many: "Last night was off the charts! My son and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience from beginning to end. It was like taking a trip to Israel without the 12 hour flight. Even though we don’t speak Hebrew the vibe was clear for everyone to understand and appreciate. In fact, that’s part of what made it feel like we were away from the ordinary. Thanks again and Mazel Tov to the entire Motek team for an incredible night.
