What if Toronto's urban forest could tell us its story?
Last weekend, the Canada Malting Silos came alive with light and sound as Ali Phi's Decomposition No. 7: Undergrowth transformed Toronto's street-tree data into an immersive public artwork.
Presented as part of SILO NIGHTS at Public Pier, the projection revealed hidden connections between the city's trees and root systems, inviting us to imagine new possibilities for our urban landscape and the future of Toronto's waterfront.
Thank you to everyone who joined us at Public Pier to experience this extraordinary intersection of art, science, and technology.
Missed the first weekend? Public Pier returns September 25–26 and October 2–3 with more public art, music, food and opportunities to experience Toronto's waterfront in a new light.
Decomposition No. 7: Undergrowth was curated and presented in partnership with The Bentway as part of SILO NIGHTS, curated by OCAD University.
