Experience nightly sessions with Miss Coco and a Coco Collective musician as you dive into the vibrant polyrhythmic movement practices of the African and Caribbean regions. All ages and skill levels are welcome & ASL interpretation will be provided!

Tech A Jump returns for its second year! Some new twists and additions from last year...!

Set inside Illuminarium Toronto, this live, story-driven show brings Carnival culture to life in a cutting-edge immersive venue. Blending creative technology, music, dance, comedy, and live performance, the production takes audiences on a vibrant journey from Carnival’s roots to its present-day celebration through floor-to-ceiling projections, spatial audio, motion-sensor effects, and more.

Hosted by Jean Paul, with live performance direction by Miss Coco Murray. Produced by the Black Digital Arts & Technology Association.

Coco Collective is joining the Community Arts Celebration lineup! They're a Toronto-based, intergenerational arts ensemble celebrating African-diasporic and Caribbean culture through dance, rhythm, and storytelling — led by artistic director Collette "Coco" Murray.
What makes them special is the range: their work spans stage performances, festivals, workshops, and community-rooted projects, all grounded in honouring ancestral knowledge while pushing contemporary performance forward.

They'll be sharing the park with previously announced Logan Staats and A Fantástica Bateria (Samba Toronto) — a full afternoon of live music and dance, completely free.

We want to celebrate and extend a blessed Father's Day to the men that support .

Sherwin Charles, Kwanza Msingwana as leaders and performers and Eden Powlette as the dedicated parent and community member.

They all care for their wives and families and been trusted supports to Miss Coco and all the collaborative projects we work on. Their core values are passing on knowledge, offering wisdom, and moving through the world with discipline, dedication, respect, and humility. These family-oriented men of integrity are a joy to be around and share creativity in every space.

On behalf of all the Coco Collective members, we give thanks for these men being the fathers who lead and protect us.

Throwback to the end of May 2026, returned to the 5th Block Party to teach a dance workshop and immediately joined pop-up performance as Coco Moko Jumbie.

We appreciate the great energy from the families, workshop participants and the dance community.

On this International Dance Day 2026, we hold gratitude to all who supported the seeds of thought and our vision to bring this diasporic expression to spaces and stages. Calabash has come to a close.

We value all who attended the performances and tour dates. The audiences that received our culturally relevant food offerings and danced alongside with us.

Three cities. Two provinces. Seven performances in two years. Our artistic director(Miss Coco) thanks every single creative that collaborated on this experience.

CALABASH
A choreographed dance and live percussion journey exploring how African-diasporic communities cultivate everyday social bonds through a symbolic vessel: the calabash. Drawing inspiration from its transatlantic legacy, the calabash embodies the power to gather, hold, nourish, transport, and uplift the cultural and communal needs of African and Caribbean peoples. This light-hearted narrative follows a woman’s labor of love in local food sovereignty and nurturing community connections.
