WE’RE MAKING A !

Got a love for sound?
We want YOU!

CBT has a six-episode podcast production in the calendar this spring, and we’re looking for peepz who have been itching to play around and experiment with this medium (with potential "radio" plays in the near future). Exciting diba?!

We’re hoping to find a SOUND EDITOR, a TRANSCRIPTION QUALITY CHECKER, and an ASSISTANT PRODUCER for our first series.

No need to have extensive experience — just the desire to learn with us and get experience making creative work!

Comfortable with Taglish (preferred) for our editor and quality checker roles.

Let your friends know!!

Commitment lengths can be personalized, with a minimum of one weekend (4h) per volunteer.

An honorarium will be provided depending on the scope of work and role.

Game to join? Drop us a line along with your resumes at [email protected].

Excited for all the meaningful conversations we’re going to have!

Tara na! Masaya ‘to 🫶🏽✨

TODAY - Saturday, February 25th is the 37th anniversary of the EDSA People Power Revolution.

Today we remember the value of truth, of peaceful revolt, and of “pakikiisa” — the spirit of coming together as one.

It is difficult to comprehend the reality of commemorating an event that ousted one Marcos, under another Marcos, decades later. As artists and change-makers in the diaspora, the perpetual question we might try to answer is “How did it come to this?” The need to make sense of events that culminate to this confusing present is evident in our stories and our narratives.

We hope that in our endeavours as artists, we continue to practice these values that our people shared during this time of revolution, in honour of those who fought for our democracy. In this practice, we remember. In this practice, we are rooted in fighting for a better world. In this practice we refuse to give up on our people.

Still looking for more reasons to get Kilig this Friday?

Our main for is to rekindle our love for creation and the arts, and in so doing make ourselves known as an organization that can provide a space to grow and find support for our Filipinx-Canadian community. ✨

And today we are very proud to announce our beneficiary partner for our first event is none other than the outstanding NGO, Philippines! A portion of the proceeds from our event will be donated to Angat Buhay's education projects such as their and programs as well as the reactivation of their Learning Hubs.

As a firm believer in education and the power of community inspiration through the arts, we are thrilled to be able to help in our humble ways make a difference in our Fellow FIlipinos' lives through the outstanding team and volunteers behind Angat Buhay!
