So this is a fun one! Way back when (May 2021 according to my feed?!?) I started playing around with this block I call the “Tumbling Through Space” block. Inspired by the classic tumbling blocks pattern, with an extra element to create the look of a hollow cube. When we were packing to move I found the OG blocks (and promptly lost track of them again). But I noticed on my old post I had tagged them “just for fun.” So in the spirit of the Summer of Sewing Fun (finding the time for which which has proven a little elusive 😅) I thought I’d bring them back to life! I’m playing around with the proportions: this is the small, more delicate version, and there will be a bigger, chunkier one for when you’re working on a larger quilt. All this to say I hope to have this up as a free pattern by the end of the week! 💝
