‼️Calling all musicians!! Orchestra Toronto is now auditioning for the 2026-27 season, with immediate openings for:

Volunteer positions:
•Violin
•Viola
•Flute (2)
•Cello
•Bass
•Horn

Paid position:
•Principal Trombone

Season rehearsals are held in the rehearsal studio of Meridian Arts Centre, 5040 Yonge Street (between Sheppard and Finch) on Thursday evenings from 7:30 to 10:00 p.m.

The season brings together beloved classical works, festive celebrations, and cinematic favourites, from Elgar’s Enigma Variations and Sibelius’s Finlandia to the music of James Bond. Audiences will experience diverse musical traditions through cross-cultural collaborations, alongside powerful symphonic landmarks by Shostakovich and Beethoven. Together, the season celebrates connection, imagination, and the timeless stories music can tell across cultures and generations.

Orchestra Toronto is currently accepting applications for the position of Principal Trombone for the 2026-2027 season.
‼️This is a FULL YEAR PAID position!

As one of Canada’s largest and most dynamic community orchestras, Orchestra Toronto brings together passionate, high-calibre musicians to perform a wide range of repertoire in a welcoming and collaborative environment. We present six concerts per season at the George Weston Recital Hall (Meridian Arts Centre) and are committed to fostering musical excellenceand community engagement.

🚨Auditions will be held on Thursday, September 10th.

Position Details:

-Rehearsals: Thursdays, 7:30PM - 10:00PM (September - June)
-Location: Meridian Arts Centre - 5040 Yonge Street
-Stipend: $110.00 per service (concert day inclusive of soundcheck)
-Opportunity for renewal in future seasons
This is a core leadership role within the orchestra and offers the opportunity to perform major
symphonic works, collaborate with guest artists, and shape the sound of our brass section.
