I went out to get Suya this night, say make i satisfy my once in a very blu moon craving.
I backed Ichie.
I reach the fine Hausa man suya spot, just down my house, to the junction...very busy area.
I was putting on big polo, shorts and the wrapper i used in strapping my child to my back.
I said Hello to Nwoke suya as he was attending to two Men.
When he was done with them, he greeted me warmly, cut out a little meat and gave me, for tasting.
When i tasted it and said it was legit, he smiled.
I told him to do tukay suya for me.
"Abeg give me tozo and throat side!"
He looked at me and said...
"You na fine girl!"
"Oh, thank you!"
He said he hasn't seen my face before.
Yeah, I'm not really a night crawler. I don't think I've been outside my house, later than 6pm.
"Okay, i no dey stay here! My sister born, so i come for Omugwo...you know Omugwo?"
"Why? Yez nau Amugwuo!
He points at Ichie and before he'd talk, i said he was my imaginary sisters kid.
"The omomo dey house, this one na her first pikin!"
I started praying to the Lord not to allow ichie shout his tu secons mummy or Mami!
"So wat of uga?"
"Uga? Me i no get uga oh?"
He doesn't believe it.
He says a fine girl will have uga, must have uga!
So i stretched out my hand and showed him i had no ring on or a band mark.
He smiled.
I smiled too.
He tapped my suya after cutting and said...
"See am, tu tasand!"
I said cool...
Then he leaned over the fire and cut out a part.
Then he cut the part into pieces, into the tukay suya and said...
"See am, i dash am!"
"Oh woaaaaw! Thank you very much!!"
He beamed.
I was smiling so much.
"You go come tomorrow kwo?"
