Trinidad and Tobago female Soca artist Jadel made an explosive return to the Greater Toronto Area on Friday, July 31, delivering a high-energy performance at Colours โ JโOuvert Night during Summer of Soca Festival 2026.
The appearance marked Jadelโs first Toronto-area performance of 2026 and her only performance during Toronto Carnival weekend, making SOS Colours the sole opportunity for local audiences to see her take the stage.
Performing during the 9 p.m. sundown slot at Markham Fairgrounds, Jadel appeared before more than 2,000 attendees as dramatic pyrotechnics illuminated the stage. The crowd responded with loud cheers, screams and nonstop energy throughout her performance.
Jadel was also the only female performing Soca artist featured on the Colours cast. The night included Benjai, Mical Teja, Coutain and Muddy, along with surprise appearances from Full Blown and Yung Bredda. Several of the nightโs artists were backed by Ravi B & The Karma Band.
During a tightly paced 17-minute set, Jadel performed eight songs, opening with โJam Somebodyโ before moving through custom live-band edits of โShake Up,โ โUp In The Partyโ and โAddictive.โ
She also delivered the first-ever live performance of her latest Soca release, โCall Me,โ written by Jadel and produced by Boogy Ranks. The set continued with Machel Montanoโs โHaunted,โ a song co-written by Jadel, and the Square One and Alison Hinds classic โTogetherness.โ
Jadel closed with her 2026 single โAnother Man,โ marking its first performance before a Toronto audience and drawing some of the loudest cheers of the set.
โToronto always brings an incredible energy, and SOS has felt like family since my first performance in 2022,โ said Jadel. โHearing the crowd react to โCall Meโ and โAnother Manโ for the first time was a special moment, and Iโm already looking forward to coming back.โ
Jadel also unveiled a daring new stage look featuring a jet-black mohawk, spiked corset, lace-detailed denim jeans and 12-inch platform heels.
The performance marked Jadelโs third appearance at SOS, following performances in 2022 and 2024.
