Globally, heat accounts for nearly half of all energy consumption and 40% of energy-related carbon dioxide emissions. To lower your energy consumption and carbon dioxide emissions, eliminate air leaks and drafts in your home with caulking and weatherstripping.

Additionally, keep your thermostat at 17°C when you’re out or asleep and at 20°C when you’re home to conserve energy.

Each month of 2023, we will share a sustainability statistic that will help to contextualize the climate crisis and help you become more eco-friendly.
