✨ Artist spotlight ✨ 's career, spanning 30 years, began with training under the late kathak master Pandit Chitresh Das in 1996. Over this time she became a teacher within his school, and was a principal member of his performance company. Known for her evocative storytelling, technical precision, delicacy and grace, Farah has gone on to develop a unique artistic voice, while maintaining the classical elements of Kathak. Her unique positionality as a
Pakistani American Muslim Kathak Artist, is evident in her personal, and yet globally relevant, approach and amplification of topics of historical and social relevance through her
performances and choreography. She regularly presents solo and company work nationally and internationally, including artistic residencies in Pakistan.
We are thrilled to be hosting Farah for a performance and immersive workshop series later this month! Check the website for more details, and watch this space.
