Artist Bio:
Emir Altinoz is a self-taught visual artist based in Toronto, working across painting, mixed media, and digital art. His practice explores perception, language, and the unknown, often through flowing lines, fragmented forms, patterns, and color.
His compositions move between order and ambiguity, the familiar and the unfamiliar. He is interested in the space between seeing and understanding, and in how images, memories, and meanings are continually reassembled.
He explores how we construct and interpret what we see.
Artist's statement or short description of the show
What first appears clear can change as we look closer, revealing something different from what we initially perceived.
The artist explores how our minds shape what we see. We do not simply record the world. We interpret it and create our own version of it.
Between what is seen and what is understood, something changes.
The space between reality and how we see it, and the idea that we only ever see part of the whole.
