🎬 This is what it’s all about.

After the films, the awards, the celebration continued at the after-party — with teams connecting, swapping stories, and celebrating an incredible 48HFP.

The 2026 Toronto 48 Hour Film Project Horror/Sci-Fi Best Of Screening & Awards Ceremony was a fantastic afternoon, and the after-party was a perfect reminder that this project is about more than making films. It’s about community.

Thank you to every team, filmmaker, actor, crew member, volunteer, judge, sponsor, and audience member who helped make this year unforgettable.

🏆 What an incredible afternoon.

The 2026 Toronto 48 Hour Film Project Horror/Sci-Fi Best Of Screening & Awards Ceremony was absolutely fantastic — packed with great films, huge talent, wild creativity, and an amazing filmmaking community.

Congratulations to all of our intrepid teams who took on the challenge and created something unforgettable in just 48 hours.

The Top 15 take the big screen this Sunday afternoon. 🖤🎬

From 68 fearless teams and one unforgettable 48-hour filmmaking weekend, our judges have selected 15 standout films for the 2026 Toronto 48 Hour Film Project Horror/Sci-Fi Best Of Screening & Awards Ceremony.

For two hours, the historic R***e Cinema will be filled with the best of this year’s competition: bold ideas, big scares, strange worlds, sharp laughs, and pure 48HFP creativity.

Then we’ll celebrate the filmmakers with a fast, fun, high-energy awards ceremony, handing out 27 awards for acting, writing, directing, cinematography, editing, sound, and more.

At the end of the ceremony, one film will be named Best Film and go on to screen internationally at Filmapalooza in Curaçao. 🏆🌴

After the show, we’ll continue the celebration at Loons Pub, raising a glass to our incredible filmmaking community and the intrepid teams behind this year’s Top 15.

We’re teaming up with to give our Toronto 48HFP community the chance to see DISCLOSURE DAY before it hits theatres on June 12.

🏆 At the R***e Cinema, we’ll screen the judges’ top picks and present 30 awards celebrating the standout talent, creativity, craft, and intrepid filmmaking that defined this year’s competition.

🌴 The Best Film winner will go on to screen internationally at Filmapalooza, held on the Dutch Caribbean island of Curaçao.

👏 A huge congratulations to all 68 teams who competed this year — we’re amazed by your talent, creativity, and fearless filmmaking.
