Cabbagetown Art & Craft Show Visit the sale in 2024:
Fri, Sept 06: 1pm - 6 pm
Sat, Sept 07: 10 am - 6pm
Sun, Sept 08: 10am - 5pm It has run continuously since 1988.

The Cabbagetown Art & Crafts Sale is held in Riverdale Park (375 Sumach Street) in the centre of Cabbagetown, in front of Riverdale Farm. About 180 artists fill the winding pathways in the park, situated under many large trees. It attracts about 6,000 visitors. There is food and music to enhance the celebration.

The Cabbagetown Art & Craft Show is excited to share our 2024 poster, featuring a beautiful a piece by Tamara Soto!

Tamara Soto is a Canadian-Bolivian contemporary artist. Her new work looks inwards to find a new vocabulary to express her ancestral journey by creating botanical compositions and abstract figures. Primarily an oil painter, her practice extends to mixed media and drawing. Her work explores abstraction in nature as a mystical space rather than a real place through colour interactions, patterns, contrast, and texture.

March 9, 1944 - October 28, 2023

With sadness we share that Randy Brown, founder of The Cabbagetown Art & Craft Show, passed away on October 28th, 2023. He leaves an outstanding legacy in his neighbourhood and a lasting impression on the artistic communities he served.

Randy founded the Cabbagetown Art & Craft Show in 1988 and single-handedly managed and produced the event until the spring of 2022, when ill health prevented him from continuing. It has been a magnificent achievement. His legacy lives on in the hands of a new team.

His passion, commitment, tireless energy and love was for his community and for the artists who attended the show each year in September. Thank you, Randy, for your vision and your leadership. You will be missed.

Randy faced cancer with his trademark tenacity, courage and more than a little stubbornness. Our hearts are with his partner, Meg Sutherland Best, who has been an unstinting supporter of Randy’s vision and a long-time sponsor of the show.
