“LGBTQ history is full of stories of silences, shame and prejudice. But it is increasingly matched by stories of resistance, triumph and pride. The younger we are, the less likely we have heard these stories from the past of individuals braving discrimination and ignorance to improve their lives. The more we know about our histories, the better able we are to appreciate the present and improve the future. Jeffrey Canton is an excellent teacher and storyteller, who brings narratives of our q***r and trans histories, both individual and community, alive. Check out his new course at the ArQuives, Canada' s national LGBTQ+ archive"
