Salvatore holds on to the traditions of his homeland, while his teenage son, aspiring pop-icon Francesco, feels caught between two worlds. Exploring generational differences in an immigrant family, Made in Italy is a hilarious celebration of family, food, and the disco inferno – a mostly true story about a kid with the heart of Rocky Balboa and the moves (and hair) of John Travolta! Life is a truly spectacular adventure! A quick business trip to Toronto turned into an unforgettable experience. Wandering through Little Italy, indulging in incredible food (huge thanks to .to and ), meeting the amazing folks at , and catching the magnificent “Just for One Day.”

I experienced a very surreal moment standing in the lobby of the beautiful Ed Mirvish Theatre, and discovering an ad for “Made in Italy” playing on each of the many screens around the room. I really had to pinch myself. I feel so honoured, so deeply grateful, to have the trust and support of Mirvish and Marquis Productions, and to get to share our show with such an incredible community. It really is a dream come true.

Thanks for the memories, Toronto! I can’t wait to come back!
