Stillness is not the absence of energy.

In this scene from Advanced Audition, LB Actor Adam House holds the frame with a quiet intensity. The work remains contained, but never static. Thought moves through him, the energy shifts and we stay with him because something is always happening beneath the surface.

Presence does not come from trying to fill every moment. Sometimes it comes from having the courage to remain still and let the thought do the work.

Training and disciple produce deeply compelling work from LB Actor Adam House in Advanced Audition. This is what it’s all about. Well done!

Great work from LB Actor Elise Jefford in The Actor’s Gym! 🎬👏

The Actor’s Gym is a weekly on-camera workout where craft, and instinct merge...It is designed to help you maintain and grow the skills and mindset to deliver the best you have under pressure.

This terrific tape is a wonderful example of that training in action. Congratulations, Elise! 💙

FROM STUDIO TO SET
A huge congratulations to LB Actor Mich Ward on his role in Reacher! 🎬👏

Mich taped and coached for his audition right here at LB Acting Studio, and we couldn’t be more excited to see his work make its way from our studio to the screen.

These are the moments we love to celebrate. The exciting result of an actor continuing to show up, train, and stay ready for the opportunity. 💙

Pace and rhythm shape the way a story is told. 🎬

In this Masterclass discussion, Lewis explains how even the slightest adjustment - a pause, a breath, a change in pace, can shift the meaning of a moment and, ultimately, tell a different story.

Adjust the rhythm, and you change the story. 💙 These are the type of micro-moments we investigate in our highest level of work. This is the MASTERCLASS.

Plot is the sequence of events. Story is created by how the character responds to them. ⭐

The actor is not responsible for explaining the plot. The actor is responsible for living truthfully inside it. Thought by thought, choice by choice, moment by moment.

The writer gives you the events. Your job is to make us care about the person living through them. 💙

LB Actors Kerry-Ann James and Tomaso Sanelli in a compelling scene from Masterclass, where actors train to respond truthfully in breaths not beats.
To experience the moment in the moment without the abstraction of “given circumstances”.
Because the work isn’t about performing what was planned but living inside the loop of events, choices, and consequences. Great work you two!

Everyone is hunting for the formula that will make audition anxiety disappear. There isn’t one.
The way through is to stop treating the audition like a test you have to pass. Find something human in the work worth exploring. Walk in with something to give.

Of course you want to book it. But the work itself has to be a win too. 💙
