The Cathedral Bluffs Symphony Orchestra is deeply saddened to hear of the sudden passing of celebrated Canadian cellist and composer Cris Derksen.

We were honoured to have Cris perform with the Cathedral Bluffs Symphony Orchestra last November in Controlled Burn. Her extraordinary artistry, creativity, and powerful musical voice left a lasting impression on both our musicians and audience.

Canada has lost a truly remarkable artist and visionary musician.

Rest in peace, dear Cris. 🎻🖤
