George Ignatieff Theatre

George Ignatieff Theatre Trinity College's Campus Theatre. We are run by students and feature lectures, symposiums, student events, theatrical and musical performances, and more.

Combining day-time classes during the term with special events after hours makes the George Ignatieff Theatre a hub of the Trinity College community. Guest lecturers, new authors, conferences, meetings, cultural groups, dance companies, student and professional plays are among the many attractions found here. The theatre, on the ground floor of the Larkin Building, directly south of Varsity stadiu

m, is conveniently located for community groups that rent the facility on evenings, weekends, and in the summer. It is the home of the Trinity College Dramatic Society. For Box office information, please contact the Event Organizers directly. The George Ignatieff Theatre does not operate a box-office service. Any box office information that we have is listed on our Calendar, which can be found on our Trinity Website.

The Shoe Project presents: "Taking Steps"
DATE: Sunday, March 8, 2020
TIME: 2:00pm / 4:30pm
Tickets are $20.

The Shoe Project is back at work in Toronto, after sold-out performances in Vancouver and Calgary. Get ready for ten new stories of arrival — and pairs of shoes. Now in its ninth year, The Shoe Project was created by novelist Katherine Govier and incubated at the Bata Shoe Museum in Toronto. In partnership with PEN Canada, The Shoe Project presents Taking Steps.

Performers from South Sudan, Turkey, Taiwan, Ethiopia, Sri Lanka, Russia, Syria, and India have been coached in writing and speaking by Katherine Govier and Leah Cherniak and directed by Kate Lynch.

You’ll be inspired as this diverse group of women weave powerful stories of why they left their homes to search for a better life. Unite in pride and meet newcomers by walking in their shoes. Choose our 2 pm or 4:30 pm performance.
