✨ 2025–2026: A Season to Remember
As this season comes to a close, we are looking back with gratitude at the stages, artists, stories, and audiences who shaped it.
We began in October 2025 with Beyond the Light by Theatre Gesher, directed by Avdotya Smirnova, with Ksenia Rappoport and Henry David . A North American premiere filled with emotion, reflection, love, and vivid human presence.
That same month brought the poetry and wonder of Slava’s Snowshow to the UK, followed by the brilliance and comic precision of Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo 50th Anniversary Tour in Toronto.
Then came the music and memories of SALUT! Julien Dassin Sings Joe Dassin, bringing Julien Dassin and the Paris Tour Eiffel Band to Quebec for a concert filled with songs that have stayed with generations. 🎶
In November, FRANK with Danila Kozlovsky brought theatre, live music, and raw honesty to the Toronto stage. One voice, one evening, and a story that stayed with the audience.
In March 2026, Tango After Dark filled the Montreal stage with the music of Astor Piazzolla, the spirit of Buenos Aires, and the artistry of German Cornejo and Gisela Galeassi .
April brought the sharp humour and live energy of Urgant Live on its US and Canada Tour, presented in partnership with Cherry Orchard Festival. Each performance felt alive, immediate, and uniquely shaped by the room and the people in it.
Also in April, The Tragedy of Hamlet: Prince of Denmark made its sensational return to Toronto with powerful choreography, striking visual language, and unforgettable stage presence. Created by Robert Lepage and Guillaume Guillaume Cote, with Côté Danse and Ex Machina, it brought Shakespeare’s story to the stage without a single spoken word.
And we closed the season with the tenderness, tradition, music, and memory of Fiddler on the Roof in Yiddish, presented by the Harold Green Jewish Theatre Company in collaboration with Show One Productions.
Each project carried its own voice, its own rhythm, and its own reason to be remembered.
❤️ To every artist, director, performer, musician, creative team, company, and partner, thank you for your trust, your work, and your generosity.
To our audiences, thank you for being there. For listening, watching, laughing, feeling, and applauding.
Live performance exists because of this shared moment between the stage and the people in the room.
Here’s to everything this season gave us.
And to what comes next. ✨
