Curious about the history of dance in Toronto? Let’s talk about it! NFP is excited to announce a new pilot series of co-curated dance history discourse sessions.
In these sessions, our goal is to facilitate moderated open discussions and critical analysis on personal ideologies, historical timelines, and the politics surrounding dance. We strive to develop a nuanced understanding of dance practices. Finding a space outside of institutions that often hinder artists from engaging with dance history is essential to us, and we welcome the opportunity to discuss it with you!
Session One features a presentation by the one and only Amy Bowring of DCD and facilitated discussions by Eilish Shin-Culhane and Clarke Blair.
