A series of conversation pieces were commissioned for ShopMy’s primary boardroom, each with a meaningful connection to the company’s story.
First: a large-scale mixed-media work by Alastair Martin, featuring florals rendered in a palette inspired by the Boston mayflower — the state flower of Massachusetts, where ShopMy’s three co-founders first met. In dialogue with the work, four site-specific pieces by Boston-based artist Miguel Caba sit on the opposing wall. For the series, Miguel photographed botanicals native to Boston and translated the imagery onto three-dimensional wooden wall reliefs.
Together, the works reflect ShopMy’s distinct identity. Not overly literal or quintessentially corporate in any way, but rather said with a slight nod to the brand’s origin story as they continue to grow.
