Sometimes a project becomes more than just a show. The Master and Margarita production that we have created holds just as much pure, piercing love, pain, darkness, and fierce devotion as the novel itself.

​When a creative work is charged with this kind of raw truth, vulnerability, and scale, the audience can feel its heartbeat with their skin.

​My task as the Artistic Director is simply to step aside and open the door to the massive universe we have built. I just want to invite you to step through it with us.

​Tomorrow night, the door opens. Come lose yourself in the magic, the music, and the mystery.

There are so many scary, hilarious and quirky characters in Master & Margarita!

Come meet them at the opening night is this Saturday at the Fairview Library Theatre at 7:30!

From Woland and his mysterious entourage to the Master, Margarita, and the many unforgettable demons and monsters they encounter along the way, each performer must balance acting, emotion, and physical storytelling to create a world that feels magical, chaotic, humorous, and deeply human.

Each role matters. Each performer matters. And together they create the world of Master & Margarita.

This Saturday at the Fairview Library Theatre (7:30pm) you will experience one of literature's most enduring love stories.

Master and Margarita find each other by chance and recognize something rare and undeniable: a love powerful enough to withstand fear, persecution, separation, and even the forces of the supernatural.

When the Master's novel brings him into conflict with a cruel and unforgiving world, Margarita refuses to abandon him. Her devotion carries her into a realm of magic, mystery, and impossible choices as she fights to save the man she loves.

Their journey is passionate, beautiful, tragic, and ultimately transcendent: a reminder that love can survive even in the darkest of times.

Merey Ismailova, Ardyth Johnson and Nicole Decsey are the creatives behind Master & Margarita, shaping every detail from choreography to stage to storytelling. 💡

With many years of dance, stage combat, clown, mime, street performance, and directing experience under her belt Ardyth, our dramaturge, will guide our performers into the world of acting and voice.

An industry leader, experienced choreographer and rehearsal director, Nicole will fill the stage with unique highly physichal choreography that evokes emotion.

And yours truly will guide the collaborative creation bringing the timeless novel by Mikhail Bulgakov to life!

Open Sky Dance is about so much more than performances, it's about bringing people together.
These moments capture some of our favorite memories from the festival: families dancing together, new friendships being made, participants learning choreography, and a community coming together to celebrate movement, creativity, and nature.
One of the most rewarding parts of Open Sky Dance has been seeing people of all ages and experience levels join in with enthusiasm, curiosity, and joy. Whether it was your first dance workshop or your hundredth, everyone had a place in the circle.
A huge thank you to everyone who attended, participated, cheered on the performers, and helped create such a welcoming atmosphere. Your energy is what makes events like this possible.

What a wonderful day at Open Sky Dance! 🌿✨

Missed it? Don't worry, there's still one more chance to join us this Saturday, June 13!

We are so grateful to everyone who came out to dance, play, watch, and celebrate with us. It was a joy to see people of all ages moving together, enjoying nature, connecting with one another, and filling the park with energy and laughter. Thank you for making our first Open Sky Dance event such a special experience!

Dance performances and workshops are FREE and suitable for all ages. No dance experience is necessary! Come learn some fun moves, participate in community activities and games, and enjoy inspiring performances by our artists in the beautiful outdoor setting of Lee Lifeson Art Park Amphitheatre.

And don't miss a special preview of The Master & Margarita, opening June 20 at Fairview Library Theatre and continuing at Wi******er Street Theatre throughout July.
