Finally had a chance to stretch these two pieces over the weekend, very glad to see them like this. The colours are moodier than my usual palette as I try to connect with current events.

'Beneath the Forest Floor'

This piece reflects on cyclical nature of life, descending into the unseen cycle of decay and renewal in our inner world as seasons. Fragments of memory, past selves, and shifting identities gather within this movement. The forest floor reveals a quiet transition.

Feeling the discomfort of the cold, decaying leaves on bare skin, hearing the silence of the rain, and noticing the stillness in the sunlight that speckle the dense soil below.

A season to move through as the organic matter on the ground beneath quietly breaks down what once was, so that something new may emerge.

This piece reflects on the cycle of decay and renewal in nature and in our inner world as seasons and temporary.

Feeling the discomfort of the cold, decaying leaves on my skin, to hear the silence of the rain, and noticing the stillness in the sunlight that speckle the dense soil beneath me.

I remember this is all just a timeline to move through, as the ground quietly breaks down what once was, so that something new may emerge.
