We circled the globe for this one; Bridge is truly a universal language!
I am grateful to my Bridge Angels - friends, both old and new, who contributed to this music video.
In our show, Bridge Confidential, one of the characters is in search of a “perfect partner.” Will You Play With Me? captures her angst and speaks to anyone (everyone?!)who has ever worried about rejection or wondered if they’ll find their special partner.

In the 60s and early 70s, my father, Charles Goldbloom, was ranked one of the top 10 bridge players in Montreal. During that period, he was invited to be in a pilot for a new TV show on bridge. Unfortunately, the show was not picked up!
At the 1968 Montreal Masters Team-of-Four Bridge Championship (pictured below) my father (Seated, second from left), Douglas Fraser, Max Blond and Bob Binsky were the winning team.

During , my father, Charles Goldbloom, served in the Royal Canadian Air Force ( ). In 1944, he was stationed in as a radar specialist and learned to play bridge during his time off.

Here are some photographs of him (in ) and some that he took in 1944 of Bermuda.

Thank you to all those who served and to those who are currently in service. You are our Heroes. ❤️🇨🇦

This is where my love of bridge began. Here are my original and favourite bridge mates. My father, Charles Goldbloom, taught my siblings, Stephen and Elaine, and me, Joanne Gray, how to play bridge when we were very young. Years later, I was inspired by the stories I heard at my bridge club. What could I do with all these stories? I did what anyone else would do – I wrote a musical!
