And so begins my odyssey in Greece to the homeland of my father. It’s my 5th trip here since 1982. We’re travelling from Pylos on the Peloponnesus to Karditsa in Thessaly, where I will land on the island of Skopelos for a ceramics residency at Skopelos Foundation for the Arts. I plan to develop small terracotta sculptures that reveal the presence of the Ancient Greek goddesses and their powers in the present, inspired by the Neolithic sites and artifacts of Skopelos.
