We forget steps. Our confidence comes and goes. We spend more time on the basics than on anything fancy. None of it means we’re bad at this and it doesn’t mean you are either.

That’s normal. Steps stick when you understand the timing and balance behind them not when you repeat the pattern.
Ten focused minutes with the music on helps more than an hour of vague repeating.
