Dere Geliyor Dere! (Here Comes the River) - excerpt from my solo piano draft of this Thracian folk song, recorded for a cool project. Added few sections to bring more depth and momentum to the short melody on solo piano.

With its asymmetrical time signature, melodic patterns, and lyrics exploring nature and rural life, this folk song firmly bridges Balkan and Anatolian traditions.

Had the honour of performing solo piano works, the Vice Regal Salute, and the National Anthem "O Canada" (with Ella) at the Citizenship Ceremony hosted by the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, the Honourable Edith Dumont. Witnessing families and individuals from 18 different countries become Canadian with such pride and joy, just a day after Canada Day was a powerful experience.

The presence of His Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Edward, and a brief exchange with him about piano and music added a solid highlight to the day.

Grateful to the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario for the invitation, and a big congratulations to all the new Canadians!

I am incredibly honoured to have been awarded the King Charles III Coronation Medal, presented by the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, Her Honour, the Honourable Edith Dumont, on His Majesty’s behalf.

I’m grateful to my family, friends, colleagues, and teachers; to my historic Armenian lineage; to my beautiful Türkiye, where I was born and raised until the age of 16; and of course, to my very dear Canada, where I’ve had the immense pleasure of living, learning, and growing for the past 13 years - and counting.

I will carry this medal with deep respect and gratitude - to the Crown, and to every person and experience that has shaped my journey.

My heartfelt thanks to Her Honour, the Honourable Edith Dumont; Her Excellency the Right Honourable Mary Simon, Governor General of Canada; and His Majesty King Charles III.

From the first day I met the Signature family a few years ago, I knew I was in the right place. I didn’t need to interview any other brokerage, as I could see our values were aligned.

Attention to detail and making sure everyone I connect with has the best possible experience is how I approach both piano and real estate. With piano, I go by Artun and make it happen through sound. In real estate, I go by my trade name Marco .ca and make it happen by turning goals into results.

It was an honour to perform at Turkish Airlines' special evening of celebration and recognition, alongside two incredible musicians, Canan Sezgin Geylan and Yahya Geylan on June 2nd at the Design Exchange! Our program travelled across the beautiful Anatolia, capturing a unique sound by blending traditional singing styles and traditional instruments such as the bağlama and tanbur with the piano. I had such a great time arranging these memorable traditional pieces (many of which I’ve known since childhood) for the piano.

A special thank you to Merriam Pianos - Robert Lowrey Showroom Merriam Music Robert Lowrey - Canada's Piano Store for their beautiful C. Bechstein piano, to Braymore Crane Rental, Piano Movers & Storage for safely moving such a priceless instrument, to my amazing piano technician, Akos Prekop with Klavierhaus Canada, for making this beautiful instrument sound its best, to CCR Solutions for the incredible audio set up, and to Coveted Co. for bringing it all together.
