The two Toronto mayoral candidates went head-to-head in a Scarborough-focused debate, and one issue stood out: TRANSIT.
Bradford says the Eglinton East LRT would be his #1 transit priority and wants construction underway by 2030.
Chow also supports the Scarborough East Rapid Transit project, but says securing funding from the provincial and federal governments is key before committing to a construction timeline.
The proposed rapid transit line could stretch about 18.6 km through Scarborough — connecting Kennedy Station to Malvern Town Centre and serving U of T Scarborough along the way.
