Apparently we’re not done with walls like this. 🤎

Tiny art. Oversized mats. Burgundy next to blue. Different woods mixed with black. Nothing matches, and somehow everything works.

There’s something about a gallery wall that feels collected rather than perfectly planned that makes a room so much more interesting.

And judging by how much you’ve been loving these walls lately, we’re not the only ones who think so.

Save this one. We have a feeling you’ll want to come back to it.

Every gallery wall we create is completely unique.

We play with scale, proportions, matting, spacing and different frame sizes until a collection of images that might have very little in common somehow feels perfectly balanced.

That’s the magic of a really good gallery wall. It feels effortless, even though every detail has been considered. 🤎

Your gallery wall doesn’t need to behave. ✨

Tiny photos. Huge mats. Unexpected colour. Off-centre openings. Multiple images in one frame. Frames that absolutely do not match.

Stop treating framing as the finishing touch. Make it part of the design.

Because sometimes the frame is just as interesting as what’s inside it. 🖼️

Save this one for your next wall.

Matting is having a moment.
For years, the mat was often the quiet part of a frame, a neutral border designed to let the artwork do all the talking. But lately, we’re seeing it become part of the design itself.
Colour. Oversized proportions. Tiny, unexpected openings. Off-centre placement. Multiple images within one expansive mat. These choices can completely change the personality of a piece and of an entire wall.
We’re loving this more playful approach to custom framing, especially when different matting styles are brought together on a gallery wall.

She didn’t want “safe.”
She wanted a collection that would stop people in their tracks the moment they walked into the kitchen.

It all began with a striking statement piece by D I N A B R O A D H U R S T. From there, we curated two complementary works that bring balance, contrast, and personality to the space—creating a collection that’s distinctly her own.

Ready to move beyond predictable? We’d love to help you curate a collection that’s uniquely yours.

A gallery wall should say something about the people who live there ✨

For this project, our client wanted her wall to reflect the things she loves—skiing, music, travel, photography, mindfulness, art, and life’s memorable moments.

Every piece was thoughtfully selected and custom framed to maximize the wall space. Instead of being limited by standard frame and mat sizes, we designed each piece specifically for this wall, creating a collection that feels balanced, intentional, and perfectly scaled to the room.

The result isn’t just a gallery wall. It’s a visual autobiography that feels uniquely hers.

That’s always our goal: creating walls that tell your story.

Small photographs. Big mats. Unexpected proportions.

✨ Custom framing isn’t just about choosing a frame. It’s about designing everything inside it.

This beautiful home is proof that the smallest details often have the biggest impact. Every room has been thoughtfully considered, beautifully curated, and designed with intention. We were honoured to create the custom gallery wall as part of that vision.

For this installation, we intentionally played with:
• oversized mat borders
• offset photo placement
• unexpected mat proportions
• rich coloured mats
• mixed wood and black frames
• black and white photography

Sometimes the most beautiful part of a framed piece isn’t the photograph—it’s the negative space surrounding it.
By offsetting photographs, changing mat proportions, and introducing colour, family photos become more than memories—they become art.
It’s these subtle design decisions that transform a gallery wall into something truly custom.
A huge thank you to Kessler Levitan Design for inviting us to be part of such a beautifully curated home. We love collaborating with designers who understand that every detail matters.
Would you ever choose a coloured mat or offset your photos?

Head over heels in love with this pair! đź’•đź’•
These Georgie Wilson prints are 30 x 30 and we added a 4 inch mat and a gorgeous light oak frame.
What makes them extra special is that we used Art Glass. It ensures little-to-no glare (and UV protection) and allows you to focus on the art and not be distracted by the glare on the glass. It’s an upgrade and does cost extra but worth EVERY PENNY!
