The 10th anniversary of The Dream Serenade benefit concert at Massey Hall, featuring an amazing line-up of artists including a gorgeous duet performance by Sarah Harmer () and her niece Georgia Harmer (). Dream Serenade is a celebration of Toronto’s community of children with developmental and/or physical disabilities and their caregivers at. “Friends! I want to tell you about a very special show I have coming up Sunday, August 25th in Burlington at the Royal Botanical Gardens ().

The beautiful gardens are located at the mouth of the Grindstone Creek where it spills out into Lake Ontario. I grew up just a short drive upstream on Mount Nemo at the headwaters of the Grindstone. This occasion seemed like the perfect time and place to celebrate and raise funds for the headwaters.

As many of you know, Mount Nemo is within a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve but it’s once again at risk of being blown to smithereens by virtually the same zombie quarry application that citizens and local governments defeated in 2012.

Community groups CORE Burlington and PERL will be going back to a Hearing in the Spring and we once again need money to pay for our experts and legal team to bring evidence on issues including endangered species, wetlands, and well water.

Anne Douris (who made the New Low vid) has designed a wonderful limited edition T-shirt and we’re taking orders for the next two weeks. All proceeds will go to and PERL, and you can sport this 100% organic cotton, made in Canada t-shirt knowing you are part of the fight. (Link to my website shop in bio)

If you’re coming to the show you can choose to pick the shirt up there (to save on postage) but we’ll ship anywhere.

It’s going to be a beautiful night. One of my favourite songwriters opens the show.
