Check out Musée’s review of LAS CANCHAS !
Images from this exhibition will be available for purchase through the gallery until the end of summer before they go back to Mexico.

“The sweeping anticipation for the 2026 FIFA World Cup is a resilient and magnetic force, rumbling at a global scale — but Daniel Borris is not interested in the roar. Las Canchas: Soccer Fields of Mexico, on view at Toronto’s Cardinal Gallery until July 3, presents images taken throughout Central Mexico that are humbled in their quietness, embedded in the subtle but immense culture of small-scale soccer. There is something wildly clarifying about encountering the game this way — with more intimacy, more truth. Soccer fields are not incidental to the communities around them. They are load-bearing. They keep generational memory alive through collective use, through the simple, repeated act of showing up and taking a side.”
