No band. No backing track. Just pure rhythm.

Unplugged strips everything back, letting the dancers' feet take the lead. This fully a ca****la tap show by turns silence into a stage for groove, as the cast builds layered soundscapes using nothing but movement. From Oscar Peterson to Kendrick Lamar, melody and rhythm are reimagined entirely through tap.

Choreographed by Alyssa Martin , this raucous new work brings together and a team of community performers to chase levity like their lives depend on it. Featuring an absurdist musical score led by Dante Green, Be the Bird echoes the chaos and catharsis of scream-dancing your face off at a rock concert with sequins.
