This morning I was doing my common morning meditative ritual (coffee, nature, art journal).
I grabbed some watercolour paints and what I thought was watercolour paper (I'm running out of room in my journal!)
Turns out this ISN'T watercolour paper😅, and the paint just repelled from it. For a BRIEF moment, I considered wiping off the paint and switching to acrylic, but instead I decided to just GO WITH IT to see where it would take me🎊
I started playing with colours and LOVED how they were making new colours as they blended together.
I let my hand move around the page without 'planning' anything🙂
I'm so curious to see how this dries!! (It may take a while, lol).
The wisdom I immediately pulled from this was that it's okay to do things blindly sometimes, without knowing exactly what you're doing, or how it's going to turn out. Following your heart, and having a little fun along the way can lead to some wonderful surprises💜
This is why I love 'practicing on the page'. The fear was far less than diving into 'real life situations', but regular practice on the page helps to give ourselves permission to test this wisdom on a bigger scale, and for me at least, it helps to alleviate the fear a bit🥰
I'm not sure how or if this relates to you, but the message is to just...try. See what happens. F* #% around and find out! Life is short, so do the things that light you up💖
Anyone relate?
