The moment I stopped trying to “manage” my voice, the color came back.
This song feels full of transformation ~light, breathable, airy, but still grounded in truth.
“She’s always changing me, without a word. I was just getting used to her” 🥹‼️
Lately I’ve been thinking about our inner manager/controller.
Technique and pragmatics matter, but when the manager takes over, the song can lose its color; and honestly, life can too.
What I’m learning and integrating:
💗 sit back into the present
💗 trust I’ve got the technique down
💗 converse with the song and flirt with life
💗 have fun with it
That’s what welcomes the color back in.
I can just be, without overthinking:
“What do I want to sound like?”
“Am I doing this right?”
“Who do I want to be?”
I’m so proud of this take. I can hear and feel my growth, and it’s so cool to witness.
