On January 6th, 2017, the Richmond Center for The Arts was buzzing with excitement. Babak Amini, with his masterful talents opened the night, playing two of his own richly complex musical pieces, along with the other artful band members. They then, accompanied the brilliant and talented Rana Mansour, who is considered a newcomer to some, but truly a seasoned and well-rounded artist. Following the two opening acts, the crowd came to their feet, with the entrance of the esteemed Faramarz Aslani, a true Iranian legend, and the night was filled with his sultry voice and his songs of new and old. Mr. Reza Moridi, Legislative Assembly Member of Ontario, presented all three artists with a certificate of appreciation for their contributions to music and art. Here are some pictures, courtesy of Mr. Ali Kheradvar, from that evening. Due to an overwhelming demand for this concert, we will be holding a second concert in the coming months. The exact date will be announced at a later time.
