**ANNOUNCEMENT**

Hello Babes Fans and Supporters,

This is not an announcement the IndigiBabes ever wanted to make.

Madame Ode’Miin Surprise, has made the very difficult and heartbreaking decision to disband the IndigiBabes Burlesque.

When Madame Ode’Miin Surprise asked a couple of simple questions, 5 years ago.

* Are there Indigenous Burlesque dancers?
* Can I combine my Indigenaity with Burlesque?
* Would an Indigenous Burleque troupe be accepted?

Madame Ode’Miin Surprise never once believed that IndigiBabes Burlesque would be so welcomed, celebrated, and wanted.

Miigwetch, Nia:wen and Wela’lin to every single person who believed in the idea of IndigiBabes Burlesque, who were excited and supported the IndigiBabes.

Wholeheartedly, you all made our wildest dreams come true

Miigwetch, Nia:wen and Wela’lin to all of the ancestors who walked before us who created the path for the IndigiBabes to be able create spaces to celebrate Indigenous brilliance and joy because of the people who came before we are able to thrive.

Miigwetch, Nia:wen and Wela’lin to all of the IndigiBabes, your belief in the IndigiBabes vision and trust in Madame Ode’Miin Surprise was honouring and so very special.

This is the end of the IndigiBabes, However, the revolution continues and there will still be spaces created to celebrate Indigenous Joy, Brillance and Sexuality.

Got Land? Comedy is a stand-up comedy variety show, where First Nation, Inuit and Metis entertainers tell jokes and share individual life stories. Got Land? Comedy was created to express solidarity with humour. All genres of comedy are welcome and expressed.

Our goal is to perform across turtle island, aka North America, for all indigenous and non-indigenous persons alike. Indigenous comedy is unique, funny and informative. Eh, but some of us just tell jokes.
