Ryan Kotack is beyond excited to be apart of this show, bringing his 15+ years experience acting in theatre, film and television to this all star production. “Standout performances amongst the cast was Gavin Sibley, a first year TMU Performance Student who played Malphas, The Devil’s assistant and Brandon James Sim playing The Devil himself. They have a hilarious dynamic and my favourite scenes were between them.”

Meet the cast!

KATIE LAWRENCE:

Katie is a recovering ballet dancer, published academic, and unapologetic storyteller from Toronto. She completed her Honours BA at the University of King’s College and Dalhousie University, where she received the University Medal in European Studies for her thesis about the role of intimacy in survival during the Holocaust. A graduate of Claude Watson School for the Arts and Earl Haig’s Claude Watson Drama Program, Katie furthered her love of acting throughout her undergraduate career. With her theatre company, Bad Ideas, she produced and performed various shows, including The Laramie Project, which raised money for the Matthew Shepard fund and participated in the Halifax Fringe Festival. Katie is finishing her MFA in Scriptwriting and Story Design at Toronto Metropolitan University. Her thesis, advised by Atom Egoyan, picks up from where her undergraduate research left off, with an unconventional love story in an extraordinary time.

Meet the cast!!

BRANDON JAMES SIM

Brandon has an Honours BA in Theatre from the University of Guelph, where he studied under Judith Thompson and Sky Gilbert. Brandon is no stranger to the stage, with notable appearances in the Toronto Fringe Fest, Buddies In Bad Times Theatre and appearances with The Second City. Additionally, Brandon has an extensive background in Film and TV. His recent credits include the Amazon Prime series Reacher, the FX series Mrs. America and the film Jigsaw, as well as a supporting role in the award winning film The Cocksure Lads. Brandon has won Best Actor twice at the Toronto 48 Hour Film Festival in 2016 and again in 2017 for The Duel & The Hei$t, as well as the Best Actor Award at the Hamilton Film Festival for his role as Zafrullah in the 2014 feature film Homage.  Brandon is currently developing a quirky sitcom “Hazy” set in Hamilton, Ontario.
