Think I can do it??!
This year will be my 5th show with One Of A Kind and every year I push myself to create as much as I can. Last yearā€™s goal of 1500 items wasnā€™t enough so this year weā€™re pushing for 1600!
Many of you have followed along on this journey year after year and I appreciate your continued support so much, itā€™s a ton of work but itā€™s worth it!
For those that havenā€™t heard about OOAK before, itā€™s a 10-day holiday market that takes place at the Enercare centre in downtown Toronto from November 27th to December 6th. Itā€™s an exclusively handmade event that brings together hundreds and hundreds of artists from across Canada which makes it a great place to get a head start on your holiday shopping! Last year there were over 600 vendors!
You can follow along with my preparation by checking out my daily stories and reel updates! Thereā€™s so much left to do including finishing up with my stock goals but also building my booth, which I plan on doing today!

The swinging one is my favourite!
I love when a pattern offers options and versatility! And with .little.buddies newest Mini Momo pattern thereā€™s plenty of options for customizing your mini ghost pal!
You can make a mushroom ghostie, or one with a hoodie, or one in a wee swing which displays perfectly!
I was slightly obsessed so I made all 3 versions and then decided to have some fun with my 3D printer to make a tree to hang the swing from!

I use them for EVERYTHING
Theyā€™re great for keeping organized when youā€™re working on the couch, transporting yarn wherever you go, and for sorting out the chaos of market prep! Heck I even use them to hold my overstock behind my booth at OOAK!

Tide the Turtle is now available!
After a tiny break from designing Iā€™m back and the next Stitchkin pattern is now available!
And just like the rest of the Stitchkins this guy can be made as a puppet or as a regular plushie and is super addicting, so far, Iā€™ve made 45 for my holiday events!!
Huge thanks to my amazing testers who helped me get this pattern ready for release!

Look what the Tide brought in!
The next Stitchkin is about to launch and Iā€™ve been playing with different yarn types and this mornings make was with this super soft fuzzy Dolce yarn and some embroidered eyes!
These turtles work up great in all yarn types and are super quick which makes them a great stash buster and market item!
The pattern launches tomorrow night šŸ˜… Technically Sunday but I always like to launch the night before for those who are excited to get started šŸ˜‰

Since Iā€™m deep into market prep I figured rather than sit on the couch and work, I could stay active and still be productive!

Almost halfway there!
Itā€™s everyoneā€™s favourite series back again for another year! So many of you have found me because of my insane market prep for OOAK each year. And this year my goal is even higher than last years!
Iā€™m working towards 1600 items which seems like an unreachable unrealistic goal, but if I make at least 11.5 items per day then I will make it no problem. In fact Iā€™ve been trying to surpass that as often as I can to try and finish early because thereā€™s just so much else to do before the show, such as building a new booth!
When deciding what to make each year Iā€™m selective, they must be fun, quick to make and as cute as possible. I focus on $10 & $20 items which make up the majority of my stock, but also sprinkle in some larger bigger ticket items that draw peopleā€™s attention as they walk past the booth. All pattern info can be found below!

Tide the Sea Turtle - Tester Call
These baby sea turtles have been my obsession lately and I canā€™t stop making them! As in Iā€™m at 31 in 3 days šŸ¤Ŗ and now itā€™s time to share the pattern with yall!
Im looking for a group of talented interested testers to help me finalize this pattern. I will be selecting testers and adding them to a group chat on Sunday September 13th with the pattern launching on Sunday September 20th! This test will be conducted in Canva so that updates can be made on the go. Testers may use any colour or yarn type.
To Apply:
- Please be comfortable with amigurumi techniques and reading patterns. This is an intermediate pattern.
- Please be following me (So I can send you messages and add you to the group chat).
