🐙Octopus Pine Tree of Osaka🌲
Part healed-part fresh
I used to make a lot of hand drawn Japanese flash concepts but at that point in my career (2019).. most of them just sat in the books. I was very lucky that Jonathan grabbed this concept from so long ago! Thank you I've wanted to do it forever and I love the placement you chose. 😤👌🏼

The design is based on a famous tree I saw in Japan's city of rivers and bridges, Osaka when I was there. This tree stands beside one particular river and appears to look like an octopus reaching in all directions. It reminds me of a lifetime ago ..
