Oorja Danceworks Canada | India The idea behind Oorja Danceworks - The Dance School is to provide true to it's nature and powerful education.

Our teachings are focused on technique and choreography, body anatomy and musicality. Since our audience is diverse we have a wide range of classes available to cater to varied needs. Oorja dance school is for everyone, and by everyone we mean EVERYONE. No matter what age or gender, Oorja Dance School has something in store for you. We offer classes in -

What happens when the camera becomes part of the creative process?

OORJA LAB: DANCE FOR CAMERA is a 4 week intensive for dancers who want to move beyond learning choreography and explore what it means to create dance specifically for film.

Over 8 sessions, we’ll train, explore, develop and rehearse toward one original, professionally produced dance film.

And yes, you’ll leave with professional content. But the goal is bigger than a Reel.

TWO PATHS TO EXPERIENCE

PERFORMER LAB
Beginner → Intermediate
No audition
For dancers focused on performance, confidence, musicality and learning how to perform for camera.

CREATOR LAB
Intermediate → Advanced
Audition / approval
For dancers ready to explore improvisation, movement development and creative direction while contributing more deeply to the film.

Registration opens September 1st!
Class meets Tuesdays and Thursdays at 717 Queen St E, Toronto.
