Happy birthday, little fella.
You mean everything thing to me. Jonnycake is 11 years old. I scooped him up in the Turks and Caicos when he was about 4 weeks old. I went down in April, so his date is Ballpark.

Gotta hit pause and gaze at it with some fresh peepers. I painted not one, but two works of art today - a record. Too much info makes my approach go haywire...time for a chill.

I discovered a valuable technique from a video I watched on "painting loosely with watercolors" on Facebook. The painter's approach to adding depth with dark shadows inspired me to take bold steps. While my piece may be darker than usual, I'm excited to see it evolve, and I appreciate having a clear vision to guide me.
