Monday Night Movies in Tofino is taking a short break for Thanksgiving and the Provincial Election, but we'll see you on October 26th, right at the beginning of Hallowe'en week! And guess what? I'm showing YET ANOTHER HORROR MOVIE!

Starting October off with a film I've been tracking for a year and a half! -- "The Salt Path". It is based on a memoir by English author Raynor Winn that became a bestseller in 2018. After some devastating events that led to losing their home, Raynor and her husband Moth (short for Timothy) decided to walk the 1,010 km South West Coast Path in England. This film, starring Gillian Anderson and Jason Isaacs, tells their incredible story.
Although there is some controversy about the accuracy of the events Raynor wrote about, it doesn't change the fact that millions of people have been inspired by the story and the film has touched many more.
Have a look at the trailer here and I hope to see you at the movie on Monday, October 5th. Doors open at 7:15 and the show starts at 8:00 (later time to accommodate the Candidates' Forum at the Community Hall.)

Looking forward to co-hosting with Coastal Qu**rs on Monday, September 28th when we screen "Leviticus", an Australian thriller/horror/LGBTQ+ film. It had its opening at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2026 and was quickly picked up by Neon for $5 million, a testament to its unique take on the horror genre. Come see for yourself!
