The long-awaited STRATUS PHOTO*LAB FAQ! An extended version of the FAQ is available online, and if you have any more questions, feel free to shoot us an email!

If you missed the story announcement, we’re finalizing our 120 film testing, and we’ll be launching 120 development next month! 💙

As a reminder we now have Scan only or Dev only options as well!

We’ll continue to post our progress through a future blog on our website as we’re constantly improving to serve community needs better!

“A late night call into work. I wandered through the empty hallways comforted by the silence and The Rolling Stones blasting in my headphones, grateful for the familiar hum of the office computers and my cassette player to keep me company. 7 hours and 21 minutes to go, plus lunch.”

This one was special not just for the amazing photos, but it was a bit of a breakthrough for the lab as we were having some struggles with getting Portra 400 specifically to look right🫡

We’ve gotten this question often- our scan resolution is 4000x6000 px and is double the size of the big chain stores 😶‍🌫️! We’ll be posting an FAQ soon to answer more questions!

As an update we will be accepting mail-in film orders, and opening up scan only or development only options SOON !

After about a year of planning and preparation.. we’re pleased to announce the opening of STRATUS PHOTO*LAB! A dedicated film developing and scanning service for folks in Edmonton.

After the closure of some local labs in Edmonton we felt the loss of a trusted spot to get our film developed, and want to allow the Edmonton community to continue to enjoy shooting film.

We offer scans at a high resolution, scanned in a dust-free environment, with fresh chemicals and offer the best rates in the city.

Huge thanks to from our team for making this possible and taking the lead on this!

The drop-box is open officially tomorrow, Sunday October 16th at 12:00 PM.

After this the film drop-box will be open 24/7, and is located .94, at 12002 94 ST NW, Edmonton, AB.

To start we’ll be doing development every second and last Sunday of every month ! We currently only process 35mm in color or black & white but will be expanding to 120 film soon.
