For Haida artist Alyson Bell, growth begins with careful study.

Inspired by a 19th-century Haida bentwood chest featured in the book, The Transforming Image, this bentwood box became an opportunity to explore the subtle details, movement, and asymmetry of this historic Haida master artist. Through the process, Bell gained a deeper appreciation and understanding of this artist's approach to the complexity and visual language of Haida formline.

A fresh interpretation of a beloved image.

This commissioned watercolour by Shoshannah Greene was inspired by her Nurse Log print (final slide), bringing the artwork into a new medium through layered washes of colour, light, and shadow.

While the commissioned piece has found its home, a limited number of Nurse Log prints remain available.

The ocean has long been a source of life, knowledge, and artistic expression for artists across the Northwest Coast. On World Oceans Day, we honour the waters that connect communities, sustain ecosystems, and shape culture.

As we reflect on the importance of protecting our oceans, we also recognize their enduring influence on art and coastal life.

Opportunities to collect a print by Jaalen Edenshaw are few and far between.

Best known for his monumental cedar carvings, Jaalen rarely releases prints, making this work especially unique. Created to honour the Gidansda Settee—the only chief's chair carved in Haida Gwaii in the last century—this limited edition print celebrates a landmark work inspired by historical Haida design.

This limited edition print by Edenshaw was created to connect us to this important masterwork.

With only a small number of prints remaining, this edition is nearing sell out.

As Pride Month begins, we're reflecting on a piece that continues to stay with us long after it found its home. First exhibited at the Vancouver Pride Society Art Walk in 2020, Butterflies in Spirit by Ts'msyen artist Morgan Asoyuf is a powerful expression of connection, visibility, and care.

Asoyuf, an artist known for using her voice for social activism, created this art installation to amplify the message to protect those who are most vulnerable and to push for more spaces for Indigenous Womxn, Girls and two-spirit (2S) youth.

This Pride Month, we remember this powerful work and the reminder that visibility matters, community creates safety, and every person deserves to be cared for, loved, and honoured.

Known for his mastery of repoussé and chasing, Haida artist Jesse Brillon brings remarkable depth and movement to his latest sterling silver pendant, Wild Man. In Haida storytelling, the Wild Man — also known as Gaagiid — is a being that becomes untamed after being lost at sea. Through sculptural handwork and intricate finishing, Jesse gives powerful emotion to this story in silver and abalone shell.
