CHALLENGE!!! Tonight at 11PM, it’s officially OVER!! ⏰

For 6 WEEKS you guys moved, posted, tagged and absolutely BLEW US AWAY. The participation was WAY more than we ever expected!🚣🏼‍♀️🏌🏻⛹🏻‍♀️🏊🏼‍♀️🏄🏾‍♀️🚴🏼‍♀️⛳️

Now comes the FUN PART…😳😳

Every point = ONE entry into the draw. And with the CRAZY amount of entries, we’re going DIGITAL! Miss Jen is NOT cutting up thousands of tiny pieces of paper. ✂️😯

This coming week is our FINAL WEEK of Summer Dance Intensive 🪩 AND the FINAL WEEK of the Fitness Challenge! 💪🏻And what a summer it has been!!! From welcoming so many new faces into the studio, to spending our summer with so many of our current MKDA dancers at Summer Dance Intensive… to the absolutely WILD participation in the Fitness Challenge — you guys blew our minds! We have LOVED seeing every single post. The dancing 💃🏼 , swimming 🏊🏼‍♀️ , biking, 🚴🏼‍♀️ running 🏃‍♀️ , golfing 🏌🏻 , workouts, 💪🏻adventures… you name it, you guys did it! But we’re NOT DONE YET.

Here's a little behind-the-scenes fun... Miss Melissa, Miss Julie, and I have a group chat. I know... absolutely groundbreaking information. 🤫🤫

You'd think we'd be talking about camp or our plans for the weekend...NOPE. We talk about dance. Constantly.
Shocking, I know.

So what really shocked us last week was when Miss Julie sent a message that made all of us stop scrolling...
"We're creeping up to 300 dancers.

Excuse me... WHAT?! After only TWO WEEKS of registration being open for the 2026–2027 MKDA dance season, we're already creeping up to 300 dancers! First of all... THANK YOU! We honestly can't wait to welcome back our returning dancers and meet all the new families joining the MKDA family this season. Now here's the part I probably shouldn't say... Registration is open until

September 11th .. BUT...I've seen certain words floating around that group chat...💬 📱"Classes are filling” "Wait list”"Only a few spots left in those classes." I'm not trying to start any rumours... I'm just repeating what I accidentally happened to read.

So... do with that information what you will. 🤣💀🤣...and if I were you, I'd probably register before Miss Julie sends another one of those messages.

Summer is flying by... but that's what happens when you're having a good time! 🥰🥰🥰Speaking of good times... our MKDA Summer Dance Intensives have been incredible!

This is our second summer offering Dance Intensives at MKDA, and it has been amazing to watch the program continue to grow. We’ve loved
welcoming both familiar faces 😀😃😁and new dancers 🕺from across our community, since these intensives are open to everyone!From building technique and confidence to making new friendships and creating unforgettable memories, it's been a summer filled with learning, laughter, and lots of dancing.

Tuesday kicked off Week 3 with Mr. Carter, Miss Alexa, and Miss Kyrsten, and the energy has been amazing!

And they're back... with FULL notebooks 📚📚and BIG ideas!💡💡
This past week, Miss Melissa, Miss Steph, Mr. Carter, Miss Kyrsten, and Mr. Matt spent a few days at the Toronto Dance Teacher Expo, soaking up new ideas, fresh choreography, teaching tips, and all the latest in the dance world.
If you know Miss Melissa, you know one thing is non-negotiable...
Learning never stops.
Miss Melissa believes our dancers deserve teachers who are always growing, always learning, and always striving to be the very best they can be. That's why MKDA invests in continuing education year after year.
So... if your teachers seem a little extra excited when classes start, now you know why! 🩰🕺🏼💃🏼
We have a feeling this season is going to be packed with fresh ideas, lots of inspiration, and maybe even a few surprises.

The 26-27 MKDA season can't come soon enough we can't wait to welcome everyone back to the studio and kick off another incredible season!

We are so proud of one of our very own… Miss Kalli! 👏👏

A huge congratulations to Miss Kalli on becoming an ADAPT Certified Teacher last week! ❤️❤️❤️This is an incredible accomplishment and another exciting milestone in her journey as both a dancer and educator.

Whenever she’s home from studying at the Dance Arts Institute in Toronto, Miss Kalli is always back at MKDA. 🩰Whether she’s guest choreographing, helping around the studio, cheering on our dancers at competitions, or volunteering at events like Dancing 💃🏼 🕺with the Docs, she never hesitates to give back to the MKDA family.

This audition season, we truly got to see Miss Kalli shine. From assisting in classes to sharing encouraging pep talks with our dancers, she made such a positive impact.🥰🥰

As if that wasn’t exciting enough, Miss Kalli will also be performing on August 8 & 9 at SummerWorks Festival in Toronto, one of Canada’s premier festivals celebrating new performance works. She’ll be presenting a solo, Wearing Contradiction, choreographed by Janique Devine, at the beautiful outdoor venue Brickworks.🪩🪩

Congratulations, Miss Kalli! Your dedication, kindness❤️, and passion❤️ for dance inspire us all. We are so proud to have you as part of the MKDA family and can’t wait to see all the amazing things your future holds.
