AIMP would like to reach out to express our appreciation and gratitude for the support we have received over the past several years.
Our committee consists of 4 people who each have full time jobs, families and other commitments. We have volunteered/donated our time, energy and funds into AIMP over the past couple of years. This was not something we 'paid' ourselves to organize, this was purely volunteer. We have had so much support from vendors, sponsors, volunteers (our friends and family have been amazing!) and the community, which enabled us to have such great turnout and provide a free day out for the public. As expected with any event, we have also experienced quite a bit of negative, with things like environmental challenges and public scrutiny.
We have decided as a committee, that 2025 was the final year for Art in Memorial Park / Art in the Parking Lot. We are not looking for a new committee to take over our event. We welcome someone to create something new. We wanted to share this prior to the new year as we know many vendors book their summer events quite early, so this will give you all the chance to get into other shows.
It is time for us to hang up our hats with this event, but you can find us in the community in other ways. As you know, Mark is involved with the Merlin Kinsmen along with so many other events in Tilbury and the rest of the committee are part of the Tilbury Lioness Club. We hope to see you at our other functions and we will support any future committees that decide to dip their toes in the water of organizing events.
