She is proud to have her daughter Miss Melissa by her side developing the minds and bodies of the many students who pass through the studio doors. They along with 12 other staff members are excited to offer a variety of programming for dancers from age 3 months to

We applaud all parents who makes their child(ren) priorities in their life and commend those who manage to co-parent not for the sake of their child, but for the love of their child.

However the attached needs to be said as nothing is more heartbreaking than to see a child miss out/have to withdraw because a parent chooses not to support them.

We're not talking about the parent who is experiencing their own struggles and hardships, but the parent who puts themself first and "parents" if they do, when it is convenient. The attached lists the parents as A and B, and while we see in many instances, Parent A is the mom, this is not always the case. The scenario outlines a married couple who separate but can be applied to any two people who bring a child into the world.

We can only hope if a Parent B reads this, they may take a moment to reflect and maybe, just maybe step up. Your child needs you.

Congratulations to Miss Angelina on completing her annual training and earning her Intro into Preschool Dance certification!
Offered by Julie Kay Stallcup and Melissa Sandvig, this certification program includes seminars and demonstrations covering ballet, tap, acro basics, and classroom management — all thoughtfully designed for preschool-aged dancers. Whether new to teaching this age group or bringing years of experience, participants leave feeling inspired and equipped with fresh ideas to share with their tiny dancers.

Miss Angelina’s studies in Contemporary and Exploring Your Body also contributed to her annual certification. These accomplishments complement the training she has already completed through Discover Dance and Tap Roots.

She is currently working toward her Ready Set Dance certification, and we are so proud to have staff who are committed to continuing their growth so we can provide the very best programming possible for young children.

Throwback to 2013! Who can name the staff members who were part of this routine?
As we head back into class in September and teachers begin choreographing competition routines, it is important to remember that not every dancer will have the same role or amount of stage time. Some dancers will be featured, while others will support the routine from the back line, in partnering work, or in roles that help bring the full piece to life.
Every role matters. Teachers create routines with a vision, and dancers grow by trusting the process and giving their best to the role they are given. Placement is often influenced by consistency in class, attention to corrections, retention of choreography, musicality, timing, expression, and technical strength.
And while every dancer is a star in their parents’ eyes, growth also requires honesty and self-reflection. If a teacher is repeatedly giving the same corrections, it is worth pausing, taking that feedback on board, and continuing to work toward improvement.
Whether a dancer is centre stage or supporting from another spot on the floor, they remain an essential part of the story. Every routine depends on full commitment from every dancer. Placement does not define a dancer — it is simply one part of their journey. Dance with confidence, passion, and gratitude for the opportunity to learn, perform, and grow
