Your body moves immediately and easily to music or a beat. You'd love to dance but feel intimidated by "real dancers". Our studio is the place for you!

No experience needed. Body-friendly, fun and creative movement - improvised and choreographed.

Thursday evenings starting September 24th

*Improvisation 6-7 pm (with a drop-in option)

*Contemporary Dance and Creative Movement 7:15-8:15 pm

Fees:
$125 per term or $275 for the year (Sept - May)
-cash or cheque

It’s so good to move and stretch and let your body express what is in your heart. In our studio you are valued just as you are. .

Our creative movement is for all levels of dancers and people who just love to move. Adult classes resume mid-September. Children’s classes coming soon.

Why does Image offer creative movement and not just choreographed dance pieces?

It is well known that creative movement gives people a place and a platform to be creative, to express feelings and ideas that don't always translate into words. Many people express themselves more readily in non-verbal ways. So providing an opportunity to do that without social risk or judgment is quite freeing.

Learning the capacity of our bodies to move and enjoy the beauty of it can be a real gift. Often dancers are surprised at how much they can do.

Our lives are busy and demanding, so "playtime" for adults is just as needed as it is for the growth, development and well-being of children.

Sоmetimes we have a combination of improvisational and choreographed movement. Our instructors also use their creativity, rather than purchasing choreography.
